Product Overview: Nordson PURBlue 4 adhesive melters are used in conjunction with Nordson hot melt hoses and guns to create a hot melt application system. The melter liquifies solid‐form hot melt in foil wrapped slugs and maintains the hot melt at the desired temperature. When the guns are activated, the melter pumps the liquified hot melt through the hoses and out the gun nozzles, where it is commonly applied to the surface of a product. PURBlue 4 melters efficiently process moisture-cure reactive adhesives, such as polyurethanes (PUR), from two-, three- or four-kilogram foil-encased slugs or form-liner slugs with foil bottoms. A user-friendly design combines simple, reliable operation with easy cleaning and maintenance. PURBlue melters provide the ability to easily use small volumes of PUR for increased productivity and reduced adhesive waste.
