This Specification contains the complete technical description for Keith’s FastHeat front-loading, high temperature, fiber-lined furnace intended for operation to 1800oC/3272o F in an air atmosphere. The furnace is shipped ready for installation, complete with a high alumina hearth and ready for connection to the Buyer’s utilities. Product Features: • Exterior sheet metal furnace enclosure surrounds an inner framework of heavy wall steel tubing that supports the refractory heating chamber. A space between the outer enclosure and the refractory lining is well ventilated, ensuring comfortable outer skin temperatures • 1800°C Furnace lining features a 4-inch thick high purity, lightweight, fiberboard construction designed for maximum energy efficiency and thermal performance. Total thickness of insulation for the 1800°C rated furnace is 4-inches. • Door of the furnace is insulated with high alumina fiber same as the heating chamber • Exhaust Vent: This will allow you to vent any process volatiles from the heating chamber. It works best when used in conjunction with air or inert gas introduced through the atmosphere port • High-density alumina hearth plates are provided with each furnace. This provides a convenient surface for setting the material to be fired and serves to raise your material closer to the center of the chamber for more uniform firing. • Optional Furnace Modifications: In keeping with Keith’s policy of serving our customer’s needs, various modifications to these standard furnaces, or even custom furnace designs, can be specially ordered. .
