Inspection Equipment is an essential part of the manufacturing process. This equipment allows you to inspect the product to ensure the quality of what’s made. There are a few different major types of inspection equipment used. All of these machines play an important role ion the success of your company large or small.
Visual Inspection Equipment
When measuring product conformance and packaging integrity, visual inspection equipment is imperative. Things like code validation, checking closures of the tamper seals, content levels, and counting the items. Visual inspection systems may have been around, but modern improvements in technology mean they are better now. The systems are faster, more robust and can handle a large range of inspection tasks per camera. Cameras also take better and more clear images, which are needed to identify possible defects. The higher the resolution of the image, the less likely the vision system is to reject something falsely.
Weighing Your Way
No matter what the product is, most likely the weight has something tot do with it. Mass producing items and shipping them will need to utilize a Check-weigh system can help reduce the overall waste and overfill, as well. These systems in place will help your company save money in the long run.
Metal Detection for Practical Use
These aren’t the metal detectors we all love at our local airport , but equally important to our safety when consuming products. Metal detection systems only inspect products for metal. They are ideal for inspecting dry products (think flour, salt, sugar) and frozen products, plus also give very good results on a wide range of other products. Metal detection systems sit towards the end of the line in most cases and check the “final product”.
